We conducted this review using our rigorous review methodology. As part of the process, we communicated with individuals online and offline who have used their services and the company’s employees. Unfortunately, the responses from these sources and additional research were not good enough to give Investment Rarities a place in our list of top three gold IRA and precious metal companies.
One of the major marks in life is knowing that you have invested your money in a stable market. Investing in a gold IRA and precious metals is one of the safest ways to put your money into a less risky savings regime. The precious metals market shows greater historic stability compared to investing in cryptocurrencies and the stock market.
This review will show you if you should consider Investment Rarity as your go-to investment company or if you should stick to one of our three recommended companies. Please click on any of the buttons below to request the highly detailed information guides from our three top-rated companies.
The Investment Rarity precious metal company was founded in 1973. It has its headquarters in Bloomington, Minnesota. The company is well known in the industry for offering its customers gold IRA services, bullion, and precious metals (silver and gold bars/coins). The company, since its inception, has sold more than $2bn in silver and gold. They are referred to as a renowned IRA custodian in the United States.
The company's catalog shows that they sell bullion, gold, and silver coin and bars. They also have eligible IRA and numismatic coins in the list of their available products.
For close to five decades, Investment Rarities has focused on just silver and gold in the precious metal industry. They are well known for helping customers set up self-directed IRAs.
The company does not put the price of its products on its website. Not putting prices on your website is common in this industry but can be a sign that the company is using a higher-than-average markup on spot pricing. although they do list all of their products in the product section of their website, but without up to date prices.
When reviewing the company's website, we could not find any details about their leadership or management team, we found this concerning as we do not know what credibility the leaders of the team have in this industry.
The company does not sell platinum and palladium products, as they have no details about these precious metals on their website. Lastly, the company partners with Brinks to provide secure storage facilities for their customers.
Below is a list showing the products and services the company offers:
Below is a list of products and services that Investment Rarities offer according to the product section on their website:
Investment Rarities offer gold IRAs and other precious metal IRAs to their customers. They partner with GoldStar Trust to set up their customers' IRAs and fund the customers’ accounts. Currently, the company has over 60,000 retirement savers in the United States of which close to 40,000 of these customers hold IRAs with them.
Investment Rarity has unparalleled storage of precious metals at the Secure storage facility by Brinks. Primarily, the storage agreement is between the customer and Brinks. The company can offer local and international storage depending on the customer's requirements.
Brinks security facility is state-of-the-art, very safe, and fully insured. Brinks puts the name of customers on the particular gold or silver they purchase. The reason for this identification is so that they will not mix the customers' products.
Also, Brinks does not lend out their customers’ precious metals. The precious metals remain in their vaults until customers instruct their banks to stop paying for storage.
Brinks has security facilities worldwide, and all the facilities are monitored round the clock. They have patrol guards walking to and fro in the company every minute to ensure the safety of customers' precious metals in their vaults.
Investment Rarities offer buyback services to their customers. They buy back products from customers who want to sell their assets at the current prices in the market. For customers who want to sell, here are the steps to take:
When you complete these steps, Investment Rarity will immediately send you the money for your assets.
For Numismatic assets, you will put them first in the Investment Rarity consignment inventory. After that, the company will pay you for your assets based on the current market activities.
Investment Rarities can deliver your precious metals if you choose this option. However, their website has no information about their delivery fees, duration, security, and international delivery service.
You asked me to check if about this statement, as it is impossible to deliver IRAs to doorsteps.
In this case, they are not delivering IRA, they are delivering the physical products (the tangible gold and silver.)
You can opt for their storage services if you buy precious metals or a precious metal IRA from Investment Rarities. Their default storage offering is through Brinks Depository. The company also offers IRA services through GoldStar Trust Company. The costs for these different storage options are not the same. While Brink’s storage agreement is between them and the customers, GoldStar Trust displays its fee chart on its website.
